See You Down the Road

Our 2019 Circus in the Parks tour wrapped up the only way we know how — the community dancing in the ring with the entire cast of Midnight Circus!

At the end of every show we invite our audience to “join the circus,” which showcases what Midnight Circus is all about — blending circus and community. This year we had droves of community members, advisory councils, volunteers, elected officials, supporters and sponsors, join our circus and our mission of bringing world-class performances to communities all across Chicago.

Thank you to everyone who ran away and joined the circus this year!

The Chicago Park District went above and beyond to help the show go on rain or shine.

As always the Park Advisory Councils did an amazing job gathering volunteers, promoting  the circus, and welcoming people of all ages to their park. A special shout out to Jefferson Park and Foster Park who hosted Midnight Circus for the first time and did a spectacular job!

Longtime sponsor Peoples Gas joined us at Holstein and Welles Park to offer free face painting, and elected officials from several wards came out to show support for their neighborhood park.

The Midnight Circus steering committee introduced souvenirs to the tour for the first time. Their efforts paid off and all of our classic, black MC shirts sold out! We are excited to continue offering souvenirs on our 2020 tour.

The Welles Park community stepped up their game and supplied extra volunteers and supplies for our added “Thursday Night Special” show. Thanks to all of their efforts we were able to have a successful evening that included a raffle, MC merchandise-filled swag-bag, a meet and greet with the cast, and of course an amazing show!

Our cast came from all corners of the globe to share their talent and creativity with the great city of Chicago. They also lent their muscles to set up and tear down the tent every weekend — even in the pouring rain. This is part of what makes Midnight Circus special — everyone is in it together.

The biggest thank you goes to our audience who comes back every year to make our little circus happen.

The 2019 tour was a hit, and we’re looking forward to 2020.

Thank you all for being a part of the circus. We will see you down the road!
