“Midnight was my first job out of circus school, and represents home for me. It is a company of hard working, easy-going, extremely passionate, and all around FUN people. It’s a group effort that you don’t really find anywhere else— putting up the tent with our own bare hands, performing for kids that have never seen a live show, and giving back to Chicago Parks. I’m so proud to be apart of the Midnight Circus Family. I’m a Chicago native (northern suburbs to be exact), so coming back to Chicago with Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTA is a bit of a dream come true. I left Chicago 11 years ago to pursue a career in circus arts after I stumbled across Cirque du Soleil on TV. It feels very ‘full circle’ and special to have the chance to come back to my home town with the company that made me dream many years ago”

“Jeff and Julie gave me my first opportunity performing with a circus when I was 12 years old at Circus Smirkus. I worked with them for three years, and after graduating from circus school in Montreal in 2014, I was given the opportunity to fulfill my dream of being in the Midnight ring. Currently I am performing with Cirque du Soleil’s show VOLTA which is a blast. I perform disciplines I never imagined I would perform: bungees and acrobatic ladders. I absolutely love it, but coming back to Chicago to perform with VOLTA means the world to me. Knowing that I have performed for almost every neighborhood in Chicago through my two seasons with Midnight Circus makes coming back feel warm, welcoming and familiar—just like a home! Midnight Circus will always hold a special place in my heart and I’m excited to see my Midnight Family.”

We are looking forward to seeing Kia and Kevin, and be sure to check out Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTA at Soldier Field May 18 - July 6!
